New Delhi: In a recent press conference on Saturday, Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi said that “He is not Veer Savarkar, but Gandhi, so he will not Apologize.
The leader stated, "I am a Gandhi and not Savarkar and I won't apologize". According to Mr. Gandhi, the Prime Minister is frightened of his upcoming speech. This Press Conference was held after Mr. Gandhi's expulsion from the parliament which ended up with his conviction in a defamation case.
Meanwhile, the Opponents i.e., leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party claim that Congress members were trying to Protect Mr. Gandhi as a victim for electoral profits. The leader then said "I have been disqualified as the Prime Minister is scared of my next speech. I have seen fear in his eyes. That's why they don't want me to speak in the Parliament.” Furthermore, in response to BJP’s asking for an apology, he said "My name is not Savarkar. I am Gandhi. Gandhi's do not apologize,”
He then denied the charges by the BJP that he took the domestic affairs of the nation to an international event. He said “I asked them for permission to explain my point, at least for once. I wrote letters 2 times, didn’t receive any response, then I went to the speaker and had a word him directly. But the speaker of Parliament smiled, and said I can’t do anything to help you”
As per the statements of BJP leaders I am helping Anti-Indian forces. I asked Speaker Sir to allow me to respond to these allegations but he denied it. He simply said "I have only one step and that's to fight for truth and to defend the democratic nature of this country. Disqualify me for life, jail me for life, I will continue going."
Thereafter the Congress leader said, even though all these things are happening I am not worried, but excited.
In response to all these things, Rahul Gandhi Said, a BJP Leader came in front and claimed that Rahul Gandhi insulted other OBCs during an election campaign in 2019. According to Former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prashant "Rahul Gandhi is not the only one, 32 leaders have been disqualified across the country, including six from the BJP. The Congress is trying to project Rahul Gandhi as a victim for electoral gains in Karnataka."
